This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website. BAI AI is operated by BAI AI Technologies Limited, a private limited company registered in Kenya and based in Nairobi (“BAI AI”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
When you send us an inquiry through the contact form, we collect:
- your full name;
- your work email address;
- your company or organisation, and the type of team you belong to, if you choose to tell us;
- the message you write about what you are building.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive personal data through the form.
How we use it
We use the details you submit only to read and reply to your inquiry, and to continue the conversation you started with us. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.
Where it is stored
This website and its contact form run on Cloudflare. Form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare database and forwarded to our team by email using Cloudflare's email service. To protect the form from spam and abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical signals from your browser (such as your IP address and device characteristics) to tell people and bots apart. Cloudflare may process this data outside Kenya; we rely on its contractual and security safeguards when it does. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy for more detail.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions for up to 12 months after our last exchange with you, and then delete them. If you become a customer, records needed to run that relationship are kept under the terms of our agreement with you.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may set strictly necessary data in your browser to complete its security check.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:
- be informed of how your personal data is used;
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- object to the processing of all or part of your personal data;
- have false or misleading data corrected;
- have false, misleading or unlawfully processed data deleted;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before you withdrew it;
- receive your data in a portable format, where applicable.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) in Kenya at odpc.go.ke.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
